it is perhaps much easier to start Ubuntu in a small community, but how to even begin with a densely populated community where everyone hardly knows everyone else?

I can understand your dilemma as I lived in a big city for many years. I moved to a small town and Ubuntu will be much easier. Perhaps your part in this philosophy will be to gather folks in your town who want the change you want, and work together to come up with ideas that will work in a big city. Two heads, or many, are better than one when it comes to big changes.

I think it will have to be a community with in a community type of deal where there are many small Ubuntu communities with in the larger city. so maybe they are a building, a block, or 10 blocks. i do not know. but i think that is the way it is going to work.

Getting yourself into a high vibrational state, out of the lower vibrations seems to be the first step. You will find as you go out into your community, you will attract like-vibrational folks to you. I have been able to start conversations with people and get to know them a little. Even to just plant a seed that gets them thinking about the world and their place in it is a wonderful start.

Thanks to SkyDancer, Jeff H, Kya and Denise, you are all great. Will attempt your suggestion as a start.
